Since I have nothing better to do in my spare time and I have lots of spare parts, I am offering an "official":
That's right, don't pay eleventy billion dollars for a prebuilt one. Buy an unassembled kit, send it to me and I'll have it built within a couple of days and on it's way back to you. Or , I can buy your kit for you from Glen's Garage, at no extra cost, and assemble it and then send it to you. I recommend you buy your kits from Glen's Garage, since I have worked with them and am completely impressed.
Assembly is $80.00
A Megasquirt II, v3 board kit is around $250 (or $187 for a MSI CPU). Then, there's shipping costs from the kit supplier to me (or to you to me). Once I get all needed parts from you or the supplier I will start assembly. As soon as I have assembled the kit and received payment, I will ship the unit back to you.
$250 + 10 + 80 = $340 for an assembled and ready to hook up Megasquirt II ECU. Compare to Glen's Garage's price of $329 for an assembled MS I ECU (He charges $182 for assembly, according to his website).
For my assembly services you get the Megasquirt only, a wiring harness (which you still have to tailor the other end to your car), is a little more. Final installation of the Megasquirt is up to you! I can provide as much free help here or by email as I can, but other than that you are on your own.
Cost is negotiable, seeing as I do need VG, Z31, and other parts for my own project... Ask for details.
I have a few soldering irons, but I mainly use my butane one with some .030" standard resin solder. Components are placed neatly on the board without and all leads are clipped appropriately: This is a shot of my board right after assembly, testing it using a computer power supply:
